Terms and conditions of Warranty

Manufacturer Defect

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from misuse, alteration, accident, abuse, neglect, wear, rust, warping, improper installation, improper application, use for a vehicle or purpose it is not designed for, or modification/customization from its original manufactured state. Normal wear is not a non-conformity in material or workmanship.

This warranty is a replacement warranty only. In the event that the warranty is approved, the original buyer is entitled to a replacement of equivalent or superior specifications. Transit Auto covers outbound shipping costs for approved warranty replacement parts. However, customers may be required to return defective parts at their own expense for quality analysis.

Transit Auto does not offer refunds or any other forms of compensation. Transit Auto is not responsible for any labor costs, towing charges, car rental fees, or any other incidental or consequential costs associated with the failure or replacement of a part.

This warranty is not transferable.

This warranty is valid for a one-time replacement. The replacement part is covered only for the remainder of the original part's warranty period; it does not initiate a new warranty.

Replacement Parts

The warranty is only valid for replacement parts installed by a certified professional mechanic. Proof of professional installation is required for all claims.

It is also the responsibility of the buyer to have the replacement parts visually inspected by a certified professional mechanic before installation.

Replacement parts are designed and tested to be able to handle vehicle OE specifications. The warranty is deemed void if the part is installed on a vehicle that has undergone modifications including, but not limited to, changes to the steering or suspension systems.

If the exact replacement part is discontinued, Transit Auto reserves the right at its sole discretion to provide a store credit for the original purchase price.

Exclusion

This warranty applies only to vehicles used for private, non-commercial purposes. Parts installed on vehicles used for commercial, fleet, racing, or off-road purposes are excluded.

Consumable Parts & Normal Maintenance

In accordance with provincial consumer protection standards legislation across Canada (including Quebec CPA Section 38.2 and Ontario CPA Reg 17), this warranty does not cover normal wear under 'Consumable Parts.' Consumable parts are defined as components designed to diminish or wear out over time through normal vehicle operation, including but not limited to brake friction materials, filters, and rubber components. Replacement of these items is considered 'Normal Maintenance' and is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
